About the department

The Mental Health Division forms part of Austin Health. It provides a comprehensive range of child, adolescent, youth and adult mental health services to the areas of northeast metro Melbourne along with inter-regional and state-wide specialist services, which are provided on an inpatient basis and in community settings. The Mental Health Division is strongly committed to providing recovery-oriented services through holistic, compassionate care and offering partnership in recovery. 

 

About the role 

We are looking for an Administrative Officer to join our Infant Child Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS) Community (Outpatient) team at our Burgundy Street and Austin hospital Clinics. This role will see you provide exceptional administrative support to clinical teams across this service. You will be well supported daily by your colleagues, working alongside an experienced Admin team to ensure your success in this position.

 

About you 

You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, ideally within a customer service environment.

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

  • Effective time management capability with the capacity to handle multiple requirements simultaneously.
  • You should have well developed interpersonal skills including customer service and stakeholder relationship engagement.
  • A demonstrated commitment to a team focussed approach with the ability to problem solve and think on your feet in this dynamic environment is essential.
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft suite and Teams) with the ability to learn systems such as TrakCare (Patient Administration System, Oracle Fusion, (Purchasing and Requisition system) CBORD (Mobile Inventory system) Austin Community Vue (Mental Health Community Data Capture program) and CMI (Statewide Mental Health patient database).
