About the Mental Health Division

The Mental Health Division forms part of Austin Health. It provides a comprehensive range of child, adolescent, youth, and adult mental health services to the areas of northeast metro Melbourne, along with interregional and state-wide specialist services, which are provided on an inpatient basis and in community settings. The Mental Health Division is firmly committed to providing recovery-oriented services through holistic, compassionate care and offering partnership in recovery. 

 

About the role

We seek an Administrative Officer to join our Infant Child Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS) Specialist Eating Disorders Outreach team and Youth Crisis Assessment Team. This role will see you provide exceptional administrative support to these clinical teams and interact with other Mental Health Community teams and support staff. The attached position description outlines our expectations and the responsibilities of the role.

About you

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in administrative tasks. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

To be successful in this role:

  • We are looking for someone who can demonstrate clear concise and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with the capacity to build strong relationships with colleagues and our consumers
  • An ability to prioritise workloads effectively working across multi disciplinary teams
  • Bring previous administrative experience, ideally within service orientated roles from a healthcare setting or similar
