About the Medical and Cognitive Research Unit (MCRU)

The Medical and Cognitive Research Unit (MCRU) is based at the Repatriation Hospital Campus of Austin Health and operates within the Continuing Care Division. MCRU has a well-established and successful track record in conducting a wide range of ageing-related clinical trials, particularly in neurodegenerative conditions. Many of these studies have focused on Alzheimer’s disease, contributing significantly to advancements in the field.  

 

About the role 

As the Administration Officer, you will join a well-established team and will be responsible for a broad range of administrative and front desk duties within the unit. This role requires a high level of professionalism, strict adherence to patient confidentiality, and strong communication skills to engage effectively across all levels of the unit. 

 

In addition to general administrative tasks, the role will also involve supporting the Medical Director and Manager of the MCRU with scheduling appointments and other personal assistant duties as required. 

 

This is a fixed-term position commencing in mid-February and concluding on 30 June 2026, with the possibility of extension.
