About Finance
The Finance Department provides services covering: Management Accounting; incorporating budgeting and financial analysis, Financial Accounting; incorporating Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Capital, Patient Billing and Sundry Debtors, Private Practice administration, Cash Management, and Investments. The total revenue of the hospital is approximately $1.5 billion per
annum.
The Finance Department is located at Mount Street in Heidelberg.
About the role
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team. In this role, you will be involved with the full accounts receivable lifecycle, working closely with both internal teams and our customers to ensure invoicing is accurate, efficient, and timely.
Reporting to the Financial Accountant – Revenue, you will bring strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement. You enjoy working in a supportive, team-focused environment and are confident suggesting process enhancements that drive efficiency.
A regular day will see you:
- Prepare and issue accurate and timely client invoices
- Monitor and maintain the Accounts Receivable mailbox
- Investigate and resolve internal and external account queries, ensuring discrepancies are addressed promptly
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Support month-end activities, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Handle escalated issues with professionalism and sound judgment
