About the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre
Royal Talbot is the rehabilitation campus of Austin Health, providing a unique and comprehensive combination of services to patients with a wide range of needs. These include programs for people with spinal cord injury, acquired brain injury, amputations, orthopaedic conditions, neurological conditions, multi-trauma and general rehabilitation including post-op reconditioning.
About the role
We have a permanent position available for one Rehabilitation Medicine Physician to work in the ABI, Neuro Rehab and Orthopaedic & General clinics.

A regular day will see you:
- Providing comprehensive management of rehabilitation outpatients
- Providing a consultative service to other Units as required
- Supervising and teaching the Rehabilitation Medicine Advanced Trainee Registrars and other junior medical staff working in rehabilitation medicine
About you
As the Acquired Brain Injury, Neurological, Orthopaedic & General Rehabilitation Medicine Physician you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:
- Appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Rehabilitation Medicine
- Demonstrated commitment and ongoing activity in research and/or clinical audit activities
- Involvement in teaching and training of medical, technical and nursing staff, including at undergraduate and post-graduate level
- Must be a registered Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Hold a Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine or its equivalent.
